Berlin police arrest man for driving car into Obama speech venue

German police have arrested a man who drove his car through a security barricade and tried to pour red paint around the site where Barack Obama is giving a speech Thursday. Police say the 40-year-old German driver plowed through the barricade in Berlin on Wednesday afternoon and tried to pour red paint around the 226-feet (69-meter) Victory Column. The monument - completed in 1873 - was built to celebrate Prussian war victories over Denmark, Austria and France. No one was injured in the incident. The man was not identified. Obama, a Democratic senator running to become America's next presidential candidate, is visiting the German capital on Thursday.
