'Big Brother' contestant booted for racist slur

A British reality television contestant was kicked off the show's set after allegedly using a racist slur. Emily Parr, a 19-year-old student, was expelled from "Big Brother" after using a derogatory term about a black contestant, Channel 4 said Thursday. The expulsion took place two weeks after Channel 4 was forced to apologize for the racist abuse endured by Bollywood starlet Shilpa Shetty on "Celebrity Big Brother," a previous version of the show.
