Blast at China courthouse kills one, wounds one

An explosion at a courthouse in southwestern China killed one man and wounded a judge in an apparent suicide attack, the government said Thursday. The blast was set off by explosives carried into the courthouse in Guangyuan, a city in Sichuan province, by the man who was killed in the explosion, the official Xinhua News Agency reported, citing a local official named Gao Feng. The wounded man was hospitalized and was in stable condition, he said. Police were investigating the case, Xinhua said.
