A bomb exploded at the home of Nepal's vice president on Sunday, wounding a soldier but not harming the politician, police said.
Vice President Paramananda Jha was at home at the time of the attack, according to police official Ganga Pant.
The bomb was tossed over a fence into Jha's compound on the eastern edge of Katmandu and hit the house, Pant said. He declined to provide details about the explosive or say if the house was damaged.
A soldier guarding the house was wounded and taken to a hospital, but Jha was not hurt in the blast, Pant said.
