Bus bomb wounds at least 8 near Sri Lankan capital

A bomb exploded Saturday inside a passenger bus near Sri Lanka's capital wounding at least eight people, officials said. Police spokesman N.K. Ilangakoon said the blast occurred in Mount Lavinia, south of Colombo, when passengers - who became suspicious about an unattended package - were getting off the vehicle. An official at Kalubowila Teaching Hospital said eight wounded people were brought in for treatment.
