Bush calls Friday's presidential runoff election in Zimbabwe a sham

The presidential runoff election in Zimbabwe this week is a sham, according to US President George W. Bush. Zimbabwe opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai pulled out of the race because of political intimidation and violence against his supporters by backers of President Robert Mugabe. Bush said Wednesday that the people of Zimbabwe deserve better and just want to express themselves at the ballot box. He said free elections are not possible if a candidate is not allow to run without fear of intimidation.
