US President George Bush called Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Wednesday afternoon and congratulated him on his election victory.
Olmert thanked the president, and said that he would make great efforts to create a broad coalition and to continue Prime Minister Ariel Shraon's policies and move forward in the political arena.
Bush told Olmert that he admired Kadima's accomplishment - as a new party that won an impressive achievement.
Bush finished the conversation by inviting Olmert to visit the US immediately after he forms his government.
