Chavez says next US president should not try to dominate the world

President Hugo Chavez says he doesn't support either US presidential candidate but that whoever wins should not try to dominate the world. Chavez says the future president must demonstrate that he will truly change the United States' "focus on the world." The socialist president routinely refers to the US as "the empire," and has criticized President George W. Bush for allegedly violating countries' sovereignty and trying to control the world. In a televised address Thursday, Chavez said South American countries won't "be anybody's colony." Given a choice, Chavez said he wouldn't vote for John McCain or Barack Obama.
