Clinton pledges to unify party for fall campaign

Hillary Rodham Clinton tells supporters in an online Web chat that she and Barack Obama will ensure Democrats are "fully unified" going into the fall presidential campaign. In a written introduction to a chat posted Thursday on her campaign Web site, Clinton says she will keep her supporters up to date on her activity at the Democratic National Convention. Obama clinched the nomination after a sometimes bitter primary contest with Clinton. Both Clinton and Obama are publicly trying to ease tensions between their supporters heading toward the party's convention in Denver at the end of the month. Clinton has not decided whether she will seek a formal vote on her bid for the nomination.
