A British government official said Friday a parrot that died in quarantine in Britain had been diagnosed with bird flu.
The bird, imported from South America, had the H5 strain of the virus and died in quarantine, said Debby Reynolds, the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs chief veterinarian.
