EU court overturns decision to put Kurdish PKK on terror list

An EU court has annulled a decision to place the Kurdish rebel group PKK and its political wing KONGRA-GEL on the European Union's terror list.
The Luxembourg-based court said in its ruling Thursday that the 2002 move to blacklist the two groups and freeze their assets was illegal under EU law.
The ruling was the latest to overturn EU decisions to freeze the assets of other groups and individuals because they were either not properly informed of the decision to blacklist them or given a right to appeal the decision.
