EU urges Jewish, Christian, Muslim leaders to fight climate change

European Union officials urged Europe's Jewish, Muslim and Christian leaders on Monday to increase awareness of climate change among their congregations. European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said churches, mosques and temples all have a role to play to help save the planet. "Climate change obliges all of us to take urgent action," Barroso said. Combating climate change was the focus of talks with 20 religious leaders from across Europe.
