A Turkish official says an explosion at a private hydroelectric power station in southeastern Turkey has killed four workers and injured five others.
Local Governor Mehmet Niyazi Tanilir says the cause of the blast Thursday at the plant in the province of Kahramanmaras is under investigation.
Tanilir did not name the plant and gave no further information.
Reports by the Private Dogan news agency said the workers died by drowning when a water valve at the plant burst open.
