Fire erupts on train in Greece; all passengers safely evacuated

A fire broke out on a train near the town of Thebes in central Greece Sunday, but all passengers were safely evacuated, authorities said.
The blaze started in a luggage compartment as the train was traveling near the village of Mavromati, some 100 kilometers (62 miles) northwest of Athens, the fire department said.
Everyone on the train was safely evacuated, the department said. It was unclear how many people were on board, or in which direction the train was traveling.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
