French President Sarkozy to visit Libya on Wed.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Tuesday he would travel to Libya on Wednesday, after the North African country released five Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor sentenced to life in prison for contaminating children with the AIDS virus. "I will have the occasion tomorrow, with the Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, to make a political visit to Libya, to help Libya rejoin the international community," Sarkozy said in a news conference in Paris shortly after a French plane carrying the medics touched down in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia.
