The interior ministers of Spain and France on Monday discussed the recent al-Qaida attacks in Morocco and Algeria, and agreed to use their countries' experience to help northwest African countries combat terrorist cells, a Spanish ministry statement said.
Cooperation in anti-terrorism, clandestine immigration and organized crime topped the agenda at the afternoon meeting between Spain's Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba and his French counterpart, Francois Baroin, the ministry said.
Relations between the two ministries were described as "strong and fruitful."
