A soccer fan was fatally stabbed and another seriously injured in a fight near Athens early Thursday after a match between Greece's two largest clubs.
Media reports attributed the incident to rivalry between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos fans. But police were unable to immediately provide a motive for the killing outside a cafeteria in Loutsa, a seaside town some 25 kilometers (15 miles) east of Athens
The 25-year-old victim's father told state NET television his son was an Olympiakos fan out to celebrate his team's 4-0 Greek Cup victory over crosstown rivals Panathinaikos late Wednesday.
