Indonesian police: Top terrorist killed in raid

Indonesian police said they killed two alleged Muslim militants on Sulawesi Island on Thursday, including a senior member of the al-Qaida linked regional terror group Jemaah Islamiyah. An angry mob then beat to death a police officer during the funeral for the pair, said local police chief Lt. Col. Rudy Sufahriadi. The Central Sulawesi province was the scene of bloody fighting between Muslim and Christian gangs six years ago and sporadic bombings and shootings since then.
