Indonesian train derails, killing 1, injuring 23

A crowded Indonesian passenger train jumped its tracks early Saturday and skidded into a rice field, killing a baby and injuring nearly two dozen other people, a spokesman for the railway company said. The train was carrying 400 people when it derailed in the Central Javanese town of Tegal, said Suprapto, who goes by only one name. An 8-month-old child died after being ripped from his mother's arms, he said, and at least 23 other people were injured
