Iranian state TV: Earthquake injures more than 100 in western Iran

Iranian state TV says an earthquake with a magnitude 4.7 has injured more than 100 people in western Iran.
The report says the mild quake jolted three towns in Lorestan province at 04:45 local time Thursday.
It quotes the head of Lorestan's emergency department, Reza Ariai, as saying at least 70 of the wounded lived in the city of Boroujerd, 350 kilometers southwest of the capital Teheran. He did not say where the others were hurt.
Iran is located on several seismic fault lines and is prone to earthquakes, experiencing at least one slight quake every day on average.
In March 2006, three earthquakes and nine aftershocks hit the same area in quick succession, killing at least 70 people and injuring about 1,200.
