Japan's Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Shinataro Ito said Thursday that Japan would not contribute troops to an international stabilization force in Lebanon.
Ito urged that Israel "deal with the situation from a broader perspective," but added that in order to resolve the current crises Hizbullah "must first release the abducted Israeli soldiers and cease the rocket attacks."
