Jordan's king meets French president for talks on Mideast peace

Jordan's King Abdullah II and French President Nicolas Sarkozy discussed ways to push for peace in the Mideast during a lunch Monday at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
Sarkozy, who replaced former President Jacques Chirac in May, said France and Jordan had "greatly identical views."
"We will see each other again often, and we really want our two countries to work hand-in-hand," Sarkozy said. The meeting was the pair's second since Sarkozy's election.
Abdullah said the two discussed bilateral relations, the Israel-Palestinian crisis, instability in Lebanon and Mideast's future.
