N. Korean soldier saved by S. Korea pines for home

A North Korean soldier rescued by the South Korean navy over the weekend wants to return to his communist homeland, while another remains unconscious, military officials said Wednesday. The two soldiers were rescued Saturday night from a small wooden boat off South Korea's east coast near the maritime border with the North and were taken to a hospital. One of the two soldiers - both in their teens - was found unconscious at the time and remains so, an official at the Joint Chiefs of Staff said on condition of anonymity, citing protocol. Both soldiers are suffering from low body temperature and frostbite, the official said. South Korean authorities plan to interrogate the soldiers when they recover, he added.
