New York's main international airport was briefly evacuated after a man slipped past security and boarded his flight after going out for a cigarette. William Contreras Ramos, 20, of Puerto Rico, was being held in upstate New York on Wednesday awaiting questioning by federal officials. according to Albany County Sheriff James Campbell . Ramos said that after going for a smoke outside John F. Kennedy International Airport Tuesday afternoon, he noticed he was running late for his flight to Albany and did not have his boarding pass, Campbell said. Instead of going through the security checkpoint, he went in through an exit lane, walking past a private security officer who works at the airport and on to his flight, the federal Transportation Security Administration said.
