Pakistan PM urges: All death sentences should be commuted to honor Bhutto

Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is urging the president to commute all death sentences given to prisoners to life imprisonment as a tribute to slain leader Benazir Bhutto. Gilani told Parliament on Saturday that he will ask President Pervez Musharraf to approve the sentence reduction. Human Rights Watch says nearly one quarter of the country's more than 31,000 convicts are on death row.
