Pakistan: Two al-Qaida-linked militants arrested

Police raided a suspected militant hideout near the Pakistani capital and arrested two men accused of playing a role in the killing of scores of Shi'ite Muslims, officials said Friday. The suspects, identified as Rashid Mahmood Satti and Chota Usman, were senior figures in the al-Qaida linked Lashkar-e-Jhangvi group and were caught this week during a raid on the outskirts of the capital, Islamabad. "They are dangerous people who have killed many people, and security agencies had been looking for them for the past several years," said an intelligence official The official provided no further details.
