Pakistani Parliament condemns Israeli operations

Pakistan's Parliament on Friday unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the continuing Israeli attacks in Lebanon and the Palestinian territories and demanding an immediate cease-fire. The National Assembly, or lower house of Parliament, also expressed solidarity with the Lebanese and Palestinian people, and urged the international community to play a role in resolving the Middle East crisis. Before the resolution was adopted, several lawmakers criticized Israel for attacking Muslim countries. Senior Cabinet minister Sher Afghan, in a sharply worded speech, accused Israel of launching a crusade to eliminate Muslims.
