A civilian transport helicopter servicing Nigeria's petroleum industry crashed Friday, killing the pilot, oil workers said.
No passengers were believed to be aboard the aircraft that went down in the southern region where the oil is pumped in Africa's biggest producer, said two oil industry workers, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of company prohibitions on speaking with the media. No further details were immediately available.
