Quebec court prevents delivery of Bombardier planes built for Iraqi Airways

The Quebec Superior Court has granted Kuwait Airways an order preventing the delivery of several Bombardier planes being built for Iraqi Airways.
Iraq's government had ordered 10 Bombardier CRJ900s and had an option for 10 more as part of an initial fleet renewal, which also included 30 Boeing 737s.
The aircraft, being assembled in Montreal, Quebec, were expected to be delivered to Iraq beginning in September.
Bombardier is caught in the middle of a protracted battle between the former Gulf enemies.
Kuwait has been trying since 1990 to force its former enemy to pay reparations over war damages caused during the first Gulf conflict.
