An explosion at a market in the Aegean port city of Izmir injured at least six people on Saturday, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported.
The cause of the blast was not immediately clear. Kurdish, leftist and radical Islamic groups have carried bombings in Turkey in the past.
The blast occurred at a food market in the Bornova district of Izmir in the morning and most of the injured were salesmen who were preparing their stalls for the day.
