Reports: Prince William made secret visit to Afghanistan

Prince William flew into Afghanistan for a secret visit earlier this week to meet with British troops, according to media reports late Tuesday. The Daily Mail said William piloted a C-17 Globemaster transport plane part of the way to Kandahar in the country's troubled south on Sunday, while The Daily Telegraph, which carried a similar report, said the flight took place Monday. Both papers reported that the second in line to the throne spent three hours on the ground there meeting service personnel. The Daily Mail said William flew back to Britain by way of the Al-Udeid airfield in Qatar, returning Monday afternoon.
