Russia denies mining of Gori, other areas

A Russian official has rejected Georgian assertions that Russian troops are mining a strategic Georgian city. Russian deputy representative to the OSCE Vladimir Voronkov says the claims are an "absolute clear lie." Voronkov spoke to The Associated Press after Georgia's OSCE Ambassador Victor Dolidze had said Russian troops were mining Gori and may be doing the same in the Senaki and the Black Sea port of Poti. Earlier on Thursday the 56 members of the Organization for Security and Cooperation discussed boosting their monitoring mission in Georgia.
