Spain says it has arrested Madrid airport bombers

Two alleged ETA members arrested over the weekend carried out the deadly bombing in which the Basque separatist group ended a cease-fire in December 2006, the Spanish interior minister said Wednesday. The minister, Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba, said Igor Portu and Martin Sarasola, arrested Sunday in the Basque region, carried out the bombing, along with another ETA suspect who remains on the run. The massive truck bombing on December 30, 2006, at Terminal 4 of Madrid airport destroyed a multi-story parking garage and killed two Ecuadoran immigrants who were sleeping in cars inside the building.
