A strong earthquake shook Fiji early Saturday, the US Geological Survey reported. There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
The Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue a tsunami warning.
The magnitude-6 quake was centered 438 kilometers west-northwest of the Fiji capital, Suva, and 40 kilometers under the earth's surface, USGS said.
