The analysis of blood samples taken from Romanian birds suspected to be infected by the bird virus were delayed and are expected to be published Saturday.
Israel Radio reported Friday morning that the samples were supposed to be transmitted to a London laboratory this week, but customs officials delayed the transport, claiming the blood contained hazardous materials.
European Union foreign ministers were expected to convene in Luxemburg next week to discuss the spread of the bird flu in Europe among other issues concerning world trade negotiations.
