City police removed a "suspicious" object found near the Israeli Embassy early Tuesday, the embassy said, without providing further details.
A woman who answered the telephone at the embassy but would not identify herself said security personnel had informed her there was "a suspicious object in the morning near the embassy."
"Public Security officers dealt with it professionally and we thank them," she said. A woman in the public affairs office of the police department said she had no immediate information.
