A suicide car bomber detonated his vehicle outside the al-Nahda bus station in central Baghdad, Police Capt. Nabil Abdul-Qader said, and a second car loaded with explosives exploded inside the station parking lot. A second suicide bomber detonated his vehicle near the al-Kindi Hospital as the wounded were arriving for treatment. At least 25 people were killed, police Maj. Thamir al-Gharawi said, adding that emergency workers were still working at the scenes. Ambulances were still racing to the bombing sites over an hour after the blasts. Police initially said two suicide bombers had attacked the station. At least a dozen vehicles, including three police cars, were destroyed in the attacks at the al-Nahda station, a transit point for travelers heading to the southern provinces of the country. It was unclear if police or the station was targeted in the initial blasts.
