UK: Anti-terror police arrest 10 in England raids

British anti-terror police said Saturday they arrested 10 men in a series of early morning raids as part of an investigation into international terrorism. Police searched three properties in Derby and Wolverhampton, in England's Midlands region, and in Croydon, south of London, at 4 a.m. (0300GMT) Saturday. The men were arrested "on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism," London's Metropolitan Police said in a statement. Police said the arrests were not related to the July bombings in London. Authorities were continuing to search the properties and officers from the force's anti-terrorist branch were questioning the men, the statement said.
