British anti-terror police said Saturday they arrested 10 men in a series of early morning raids as part of an investigation into international terrorism.
Police searched three properties in Derby and Wolverhampton
, in England
's Midlands region, and in Croydon, south of London, at 4 a.m. (0300GMT) Saturday.
The men were arrested "on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism," London's Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
Police said the arrests were not related to the July bombings in London. Authorities were continuing to search the properties and officers from the force's anti-terrorist branch were questioning the men, the statement said.
