United States Ambassador to Egypt Francis J. Ricciardone on Thursday noted that Washington encouraged Israel to join the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
After meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Abu Al-Gheith, Ricciardone said that the United States agrees with the Cairo's demand that the IAEA decision on Iran should include a clause regarding the importance of the nuclear demilitarization of the entire Middle East.
