US man pleads to conspiring with terror group

A Washington cab driver pleaded guilty Monday to conspiring to help a terrorist organization after admitting he attended training camps in Pakistan. Under a plea deal with federal prosecutors, Mahmoud Faruk Brent al-Mutazzim, who had been scheduled to go on trial on April 24, agreed to serve 15 years in prison rather than a sentence of more than 20 years that might have resulted if he were convicted at trial.
