The US accused the UN Development Agency of transferring millions of dollars in cash to North Korea.
The deputy ambassador of Washington to the UN said that the agency acted in "gross violation of UN rules" and called to open an external investigation that would examine whether the funds were being used to produce weapons of mass destruction.
