The French Foreign Ministry confirmed Friday that Western tourists have been kidnapped in Ethiopia, but declined to say how many or indicate their nationalities.
The ministry declined to confirm French news reports saying that the French Embassy in Addis Ababa had indicated that 11 French people and three Britons had been taken hostage.
