Yemeni diplomat shoots at shoeshine man in Vienna

A Yemeni diplomat shot at a shoe shine man in a Vienna hotel Friday, police said Saturday. No one was injured in the incident. The unidentified diplomat drew a gun in the hotel lobby and fired a shot in the direction of the man but missed, said Guenther Fuchs, spokesman for the Vienna police department. An investigation is under way, Fuchs added, declining to provide more details. A representative from the Yemeni Embassy was not immediately available for comment. The incident took place in the Marriott Hotel in central Vienna, according to the Austrian broadcaster ORF. The diplomat apparently lost his cool when the shoeshine man, on a break, told him to come back later, ORF reported.
