Barak: Military option to stop Iran still open

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Tuesday he told top US officials that Israel would not rule out a military strike against Iran, while Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called Iran's latest response to diplomatic overtures a disappointment. Barak, in the middle of two days of meetings at the White House, Pentagon and State Department, told reporters that he said during those meetings that there was still time to pursue tough diplomacy with Iran. At the same time he said he told the Americans that Iran posed a major threat to the whole world, and that for Israel "no option would be removed from the table."
