According to the report, Asghari, a senior defense official who formerly served in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, spent the last four years spying for Western intelligence services and fled Iran after the country's secret service began to suspect him.
Asghari was reportedly interrogated at the NATO base over the weekend.
Iranian sources have blamed both the West and the Mossad for the former deputy defense minister's disappearance, which was reported less than two weeks ago.
