The European Union's foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, said Monday he hopes to travel to Iran soon to discuss international concerns about the country's nuclear program.
"I hope that I will be going to Teheran soon. I cannot give you the date, but I hope that it will be within the month," Javier Solana told reporters after a meeting of EU foreign ministers.
He is expected to discuss a repackaged set of incentives from major World powers aimed at persuading Iran to halt its uranium enrichment program - a technology that could give Iran a pathway to developing nuclear weapons.
