Iran denies technical difficulties with centrifuges to enrich uranium

A senior Iranian nuclear official has denied the country was having technical difficulties setting up centrifuges to enrich uranium and insists Tehran was determined to expand its nuclear program despite international opposition. Earlier this week, diplomats close to the UN nuclear watchdog agency said Iran has exaggerated its nuclear progress and had technical problems operating the 3,000 centrifuges already in place to enrich uranium. However, Mohammad Saeedi, deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, denied there were difficulties, according to a report on state television Friday.
