Iran: Olympic athletes will not train in America

Iran has rejected an offer by the Unites States for the Persian nation's Olympic athletes to train in America, the official Islamic Republic News agency reported on Wednesday. "Iran's Foreign Ministry has opposed the signing of an agreement on cooperation between the United States and Iran's Olympic committees," the agency quoted Reza Qarakhanlou, head of Iran's Olympic Committee, as saying. Qarakhanlo did not elaborate on the Iranian reasons for the rejection, but said that the move "does not mean cutting off" cooperation with any Olympic federation. Every offer will be "reviewed based on its feasibility," the Iranian official added.
