Iran's ambassador to the European Union says he has presented a new package to EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana to resolve international concerns about its nuclear program and wider security issues.
Ambassador Ali Asghar Khaji said Iran was a "key player" in the Middle East and wants to address security challenges with global powers to fight terrorism and dictatorship.
He also wanted to address energy shortages and said Wednesday that all these issues were linked to Iran's nuclear program.
