Iran says it uncovered Western spy networks

A statement from the Intelligence Ministry said Saturday that Iran has uncovered several spy networks that have been organized by the 'occupying forces in Iraq,' shorthand for United States and its allies. The ministry has "succeeded in identifying and striking blows at several spy networks comprised of infiltrating elements from the Iraqi occupiers in western, southwestern and central Iran," said the statement, read out on Iran's state-run television. The broadcast gave no further details.
